BACKGROUND IN WEIGHT TRAINING

Eric W. Scott began weight training at the age of fourteen. He purchased a weight training bench from a local Walmart and hauled it home on a wagon attached to his bicycle. This was the beginning of a life-long commitment to fitness.  In 2005, after receiving encouragement from a local gym owner, he began training for his first bodybuilding competition.  This experience led him down the path of natural bodybuilding, a course he remains committed to today.

PROFESSIONAL BODYBUILDING

In 2009, Eric earned his Natural Pro Card from the IFPA when he won the overall at the OCB Midwest States competition. Within the IFPA federation, he competed four times as a professional and twice at the Yorton Cup World Championships.  In 2016, the NPC created Classic Physique, a category that emphasizes transitional posing and enforces a strict weight limitation. That fall, he competed in his first NPC show and won not only his class, but the overall title in the Men’s Classic Physique category.  Winning a national qualifier show prepared him for more incredible opportunities, including a spot in the 2017 Arnold Classic USA, which he competed in the following year, where he placed fifth in his class.  Placing fifth at this Arnold Classic allowed him to compete at the international level.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Eric began competing in the IFBB-exclusive category of Classic Bodybuilding, and in 2017 alone, he was invited to compete in three IFBB Arnold Classic events: Ohio (fifth place), South Africa, (fourth place), and Barcelona, where he was the sole representative for The United States at the IFBB European Championships.  He had fulfilled a dream of becoming the first American to compete in Classic Bodybuilding at the international level.  At the conclusion of the 2017 season, he was the highest ranked American in the Classic Bodybuilding category.  Eric's competition history as a bodybuilder spans eighteen years and includes sixteen amateur and professional shows and three overall titles.  Most recently, he returned to stage, after a five year hiatus, placing 6th at the USBF USA Championships and 5th at the GBO World Atlas; the two most competitive shows of the calendar year.  In addition to competing, he has served as Head Judge for six different professional and amateur federations.  Eric's goal as a trainer is to help you maintain longevity for your career, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete.
